Aloha, as I stand here, in awe of this beautiful ocean view, off the shores of Oahu, Hawaii, my reflective thoughts have become much more deeper, like the depths of the ocean. Being raised on a farm, and a small community, in North Dakota, I could have never imagined living in the islands, which I have since 1987.  Having taught, for most of my career, in the tropics. Well, that is what happened, and now my reflections are getting much more serious. What I decide to do next, will either effect education for the better, as we presently know it; or not even make a dent, toward necessary improvements, in today's out dated, pioneer driven, traditional, instructional practices.
You see, I developed a robotic curriculum (4 Years Ago), full of human to human highly effective strategies. A workplace preparedness (STEM), workplace simulated, project-based... Quad D Robotics Innovative Inventions Curriculum® that has yielded, unmatched, unprecedented, (project outcomes, surpassing top mainland university efforts) common task performing robots. Due to the distance, calendar schedules...travel times, and expenses, it is very hard to get this curriculum out to the mainland, USA, and other countries, educational institutions.
An innovative curriculum, is like no other, traditional curriculum, and the author (myself), must model, explain, mentor, and train those who are to instruct in this unique, non-traditional style. But, it is well worth it! Because, I see the positive results, daily, with my own 8th grade students, and their experiences from this learning experience. I presently am looking to take on a third mainland tour, and possibly a world tour. The first two tours, I completely covered all of the expenses, and shared freely, so students and educators may experience this curriculum. I am unable to continue this practice, even though many schools have shown interest, and are considering adopting this curriculum, with the new methodologies for instruction. Some schools, have already implemented this curriculum, and strategies, that effectively target grades K-12 + college age.
As I lookout over the pacific ocean, and wonder, if I should get that passport, because 87 countries are showing much interested. With all honesty, I am hoping that mainland  schools, decide to view this curriculum, by bringing me in, to share. The Quad D Robotics Innovative Inventions Curriculum presentation(s), and available services, include: inspiring and motivational robotic video outcomes... assemblies, staff training's, classroom mentoring, and administrative strategies, with on-going support, plus a three DVD instructional QDRIIC series (31 instructional supplements), is also available.
I share this reflection, to not only inform all of my linkedin connection's members, and public linked in users, but to reach as many educators, so their students may also experience, real life connections, through this curriculum. A curriculum that is unique, and truly contributes to positive workplace/life skill preparedness, and would, without question,  improve their future employment opportunities, thus, their overall quality of life.
